Installations
Permanent or semi-permanent installations are a natural extension of my live event work – it’s a patron experience that needs to be bullet-proof for months, or even years, at a time. The Legacy Way Visitors’ Centre was an enormous and very successful undertaking. We designed and constructed the space, and created a broad suite of bespoke content to make the most of the technology and keep patrons digging for new material in every zone. The centre ran for three years without a hitch.
My installation work for the Rothschild Prayer Book, commissioned by the Kerry Stokes Collection, was some of the most interesting and intellectually challenging work I’ve done. Kerry Stokes himself is highly technically literate, and is across most major developments in camera and display technology. Making two installations that surpassed his expectations, while rapidly expanding my skillset, was extremely satisfying.
